I guess since I'm home and not really doing anything, I don't really have an excuse not to be updating this.

Got Logitechn 5.1 speakers for my rig! I couldn't find anywhere to put the two rear speakers, so I just mounted them on the top of my massive chair, so they are right there on either side of my head, pointing into my ears. Lots of testing with Lord of the Rings: FOTR, The Matrix, *gulp* Star Wars Episode 2, and other dvds that I didn't even know had 5.1. Morrowind, which has 5.1 support, sounds awesome on the speakers. I enjoy killing town people just to hear the guards rush up behind me on the rear speakers.

Speaking of Morrowind, I found this awesome scroll that lets you jump almost literally a mile into the air, letting you leap across several miles of terrain at once. The downside is that unless you land really high up, or land in water, then when you hit the ground you die instantly. I spent half the day plotting courses on the map, then attempting to leap into someone's fishpond, etc. "Weeeeeeeeeeeeeee!*thunk*"

Speaking of The Matrix, a bunch of us went to go see The Matrix Reloaded at an early showing Wednesday night at 10:00. The special effects were, of course, incredible, although I was dissapointed with the heavy use of CG. The story was confusing at best and just plain dumb at worst. It didn't flow very well, and the best I could manage after the "To Be Continued" was "huh?" I'm bitching and moaning now, but that doesn't mean I won't be right there to pick up my DVD copy hot off the press :)

Ahhh, I am being called for yet another nightly game of Diablo 2 with Karen, Mike, and Bryan. Catch you later.

Concentrate!
All that can be lost will be lost
unless you move as quick as the wind,
unless you fight and feel
fight!
win!
be happy!
we all deserve it...

Now its time to wrap our fears in the night
And on the first day we'll dress this city in flames
After all the things you say
You hate me for being this way

Still you won't let go of old ideals
There is no headline to read at night
When the record slips and you're not holding the needle

We all sing the songs of separation
And we watch our lives bleed out through our hands
Thats how it was on the first day
We saw Paris in Flames

I think it's going to rain, rain down

Here in this collapsed lung of a borough
There is no sunlight
The sunlight is manufactured in a windowless room
Distant and incoherent
Businessmen hang themselves

The lower cast side is a jukebox playing the deadman's crescendo
The needle is a vector
An intersection that well all must cross
A dimly lit hallway where shadows of moths decorate the walls
Discard this message
Burn this city down

PARIS IN FLAMES!
