I liked... having hurt.

Even as I sit here learning my operator formulas for Differential Equations (((D-A)^M)((e^ax)u)=(e^ax)D^M(u)) I cannot stop listening to this damn song by Chevelle, "Send The Pain Below." It's sung by the lead of the three brother band (don't think Hanson), Pete Loeffler, and is an incredibly inspiring song, despite its simplicity. I think the song is trying to convince us all to bury our problems, let them build up, because that is all we can do... we're only human. In fact, Chevelle's "Wonder What's Next" is the best damn cd I've spun this year (Well, maybe just as good as Alkaline Trio's "From Here to To Infirmary."

Chevelle's last album, "Point #1" was good enough to be one of my favorite 1999 releases. I recommend it, and the new release, to anyone who likes really good metal.

I've received my second costume, expect all hell to break loose.

I played Mike (Deidra's Mike) and Bryan in Half-Life Death-Match Classic last night. Stomped both of them, as to be expected ;-)

Man, all of this work (Econ, Math, Polysci) and planning (Slamfest and the fall break trip) is going to leave me dead on the bathroom floor someday.
Maybe I should just play computer games instead.
Or get a life.
Or go on a bad date! Editor's note: see first couple of posts

Vote on what I should do next on the guestbook!

What? Where am I?

Everything that has happened over the past week is just a blur..... I remember Starcraft.. lots of Starcraft.

Yes, a Starcraft revival. We played, ate, slept, went to class, played, and played. Some incredibly familiar moments involve a multitude of archons, Scott, and me screaming "PUSH HIM INTO THE SEA!" So we played Starcraft all week, that doesn't make us geeks or anything.

Friday:

Went to class. Played Half-Life DM with some people. Kicked a little ass, took a few names.
We played more Starcraft that day. Then we decided that we wanted to go see The Transporter, which I thought was showing at midnight in Seneca. Well, the group of us get there (Scott, Mike # 2, Kyle, Matt, Myself, Brian, and Bryan) just to find that it wasn't, in fact, playing at all. So we went to Walmart, bought fattening baked goods, some of us er flirted with cashier girls, and then ate our food in the parking lot. We came back to my room to watch The Big Hit to fufill our testosterone filled night.

Saturday:

Woke up. Ate lunch and then went to the library for a couple hours to read up on Development Economics and get a book on the Rwandan crisis. We played some Battle Realms after dinner, and then tried again. We drove all the way to Greenville to eat at Krispy Kreme, then went and saw the Transporter, which is a damn good movie...to laugh along with.

Sunday:

I'm sitting here, trying to decide if I should do work or play Deus Ex again.

Idea of the week (Kyle): kung fu + porn= "Ninjas Gone Wild!"
