I, Robot = Hollywood skullf#$%ing Isaac Asimov
I don't know how many people are Isaac Asimov fans, but I grew up reading his books, and have loved every single one of them. Asimov was the first science fiction author to really think about the consequences of Robots.
He came up with 3 laws of robotics, laws that a robot's brain would be utterly dependent on, that were supposed to take care of most problems people could think about :
1. A robot may not injure a human being or, through inaction, allow a human being to come to harm.
2. A robot must obey orders given it by human beings except where such orders would conflict with the First Law
3. A robot must protect its own existence as long as such protection does not conflict with the First or Second Law
He initially wrote a bunch of short stories based around these laws, and they were compiled into a book called "I, Robot"
Hollywood took that and got this:

Apparently gentle robots weren't enough, they had to add Will Smith riding on a motorcycle and firing two pistols, they had to make the robots go crazy and start killing everyone! Jesus christ, why don't they dig up Isaac Asimov while they are at it and have Will Smith skullfuck him while diving sideways with pistols? WTF?
